An interview with Antonia Langdorf

Antonia:
She answered, "I first became interested in astrology also around 1984. It started by my reading
Sun signs for people. The desire to learn more about myself and other people was great. I always
had the vision of the spiral of life, of the cyclic development of all forms of life.
I believed that there was a higher connection between people and incidents. It was clear
to me that I was walking on a defined path that unfolded before me in a way that was special
and very individual. My first teacher was my husband, Axel. He cast my chart and interpreted
it for. During that time, we were far from being a couple. We were just loosely friends.
However, from that point, my interest in astrology kept growing. My appetite for astrology
books was insatiable.
By 1988 I purchased my first astrological software and was intuitively
reading the charts of all the people I knew. Of course this was running parallel to my career
in the media as TV presenter for music and youth programs. That was the time I began thinking
that the combination of astrology and media would a great marriage. In 1993, I started my first
astrological TV magazine called "Sternschuppen" (Shooting Stars). It was a monthly magazine
created around each Sun sign based upon film scenes with VIP's, very important persons of
the Sun sign. Axel was my astrological consultant while I was working on that show.
His knowledge was so impressive, I finally decided to start my formal astrological education
and attend classes at the Cologne Institute of the DAV (the German Astrological Society).
My first instructor there was Heidi Treier.
Maureen:
"What was going on in your chart when you started your studies at the institute?" I asked her.
Antonia:
Antonia wrote back, "You are going to love this one! It was just when transit Saturn hit my
Pisces Mid-heaven when the class started. This, amongst other events, showed me clearly
that my birth time is correct! My education took three years and I closed it successfully
with a diploma."
"My work at the TV station continued. In 1994, I was working as a weather forecaster during
the morning news for Europe's biggest TV station, RTL. Later, when I became pregnant, I was
given my first chance to present the daily horoscope together with the daily weather.
This was an extremely interesting combination and a great opportunity to do research on
weather patterns."
Maureen:
I stopped and emailed Antonia back. "Wait a minute," I pleaded. "Did I miss something?
Was someone involved in your pregnancy?"
Antonia:
"Oh, yes," she replied. "I've missed mentioning some dates and events. Axel and I were married
December, 1996."
Maureen:
Of course I was checking. Transit Jupiter that month and year was again in Antonia's 7th house
and by the end of the month, it had conjuncted her Capricorn Sun-Venus combination.
Antonia:
"And," she continued, "our daughter Marilen was born May 16, 1999, exactly with the second North
Node return and Saturn on my Moon."
Maureen:
"That's better," I wrote back. "Now I understand. Please, continue. Sorry for the interruption."
Antonia:
"Well, by the time I finished my education at the institute, I was even more fascinated and euphoric
about astrology. I watched all the charts I could get and started with my first consultation
sessions. I regularly took more classes. My teacher, Heidi Treier, has Chiron as her specialty.
Since I have Chiron conjunct my MC, I find it very important and I work with it a lot. I continued
taking classes with Heidi. Then I started watching Lilith, based on the book of Joelle de la Gravelaine.
When I found out that the Black Moon is right on my natal Pluto in the grand trine with my Moon and Mars,
it really got my attention. When my daughter was born with Chiron-Lilith on her Ascendant, I was
stunned and again that opened me up to wanting to learn even more about the mystery of Lilith,
especially the effects of Lilith in relationships and in the natal chart. My vocation was also
influenced by the work of Liz Greene and Howard Sasportas. At a later time, I concentrated on
the lunar nodes and the classes I took with Ray Merriman and Johan Hjelmbourg deepened my interest
in this extremely important cycle."
Maureen:
"Do you and Axel ever work together?" I asked.
